JCS was founded in 2010 by Scott Lamont with a clear vision to improve road use and transport efficiency. That ambition led to the creation of a specialist consultancy made up of experienced professionals in road networks, transport projects, and civil engineering.
Scott is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience working across both local authority and private sector roles. His background includes work with Somerset County Council, Hampshire County Council, Suffolk County Council, Calderdale Council, Wiltshire County Council, and Waterman Aspen, giving him a strong understanding of how transport projects are planned and delivered in practice.
